As a Principal Training & Education Specialist - ENT, you will be a key member of a team that trains over a thousand Healthcare Providers (HCPs) annually on Medtronic's ENT products. Your role will specifically support the training events for hands-on workshops held throughout the country, including at our Jacksonville, Fl training & education center. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality experiences for our ENT customers.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Contribute to the development and execution of ENT customer training programs (including ENT medical education courses/workshops, resident & fellows courses, Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS) & Head & Neck (H&N) OR personnel trainings).

  • Must be comfortable working within Bioskills lab environment and working with cadaveric tissue.

  • May utilize trainers with technical expertise and lead hands-on training courses.

  • Work with Marketing, Sales Training, and other relevant cross-functional partners to ensure the content is relevant, innovative, compliant, and interactive whether for in-person or virtual programs.

  • Obtains information needed to prepare training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.

  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.

  • Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

  • Work independently with direction from manager, and functional or technical experts.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with 11 years of relevant experience in a clinical lab setting, clinical training, field sales/support in medical device, healthcare industry or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 9 years' experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 7 years' experience).

Nice to Have


  • Program management experience, organizational skillset, and ability to meet timelines.

  • Clinical Experience teaching ENT, Head, Neck or Otology Surgeons and related HCPs.

  • Experience in supporting or planning Medical Education labs for medical device industry.

  • Ability to work self-directed, independently as well as to collaborate on key issues.

  • Experience interactively engaging and effectively working cross-functionally with internal events team members, sales teams, marketing, clinical, research, corporate and leadership levels, and quality.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$108,000.00 - $162,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
