A Production test operator should be familiar with the equipment at the production test stand and be familiar with testing processes and procedures. A Production test operator should require minimal supervision and be capable of directing mechanic(s) as needed. A Production test operator should be familiar with product, paperwork, reports and quality documents.
Be able to plumb connections for water flow to units as needed
Perform basic Production Test which includes some of the following; kilowatt readings, wet bulb temperature readings, amps, volts, calculated HP, RPM readings, etc.
Work closely with Quality, Field Service, and Engineering Departments to troubleshoot any performance issues as necessary.
Ability to learn BAC-Madera's quality assurance and ISO policies and procedures.
Ability to learn BAC-Madera's inspection procedures.
Must have the ability to successfully pass powered industrial equipment certifications
Must be able to coordinate, communicate and cooperate with different individuals from different departments to schedule testing needs.
Must be willing to travel and assist field service members during site visits
Capability to understand quality standards and seek out issues on the line to communicate to Quality Manager.
Understanding of basic Lean Principles of 8 Wastes and 5S program. The ability to contribute new ideas and sustain these processes.
Must consistently demonstrate good performance in the area of safety, overall work habits, and productivity.
Basic knowledge of computers including but not limited to Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
Must have good attendance. This requires applicant not to have been on the points system in the previous year.
Ability to work any shift if needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Assurance Specialist.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Critical Thinking - Ability to analyze and solve piping and water flow issues, make basic wiring connections, balance fans, and find and repair leaks.
Communication - Capable of communicating to all levels of employees, i.e. Team Leader, Material Coordinator, Station Leader, office personal and production employees. Ability to communicate with scheduling, assembly, shipping and engineering to schedule testing of units.
Customer Focus - Understanding of your customers by giving feedback to assembly on performance of units and verifies conformance of equipment with defined criteria of the customer.
Aligning People and Team Development - Must be able to work with others professionally to schedule units.
WORKING CONDITIONS
BAC Hiring Compensation Range $27.21 - $32.40.
