POSITION OVERVIEW
The Youth Program Coordinator will provide support for youth programs in order to ensure the effective administration of youth programs for the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. This will focus on STEM Youth Programs, and is NOT part of youth sports.

JOB LOCATION: Walnut Creek YMCA
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Various weekday and weekend times available - 20 hours per week
PAY RANGE: $11.50 - $13.00/hour
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: November 7, 2024 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Create, plan and deliver youth program opportunities.
Develop and implement promotion plan to advertise youth program opportunities.
Manage and coordinate youth program activities.
Develop and implement evaluation to learn results of the youth program.
Assists in the monitoring of inventory of department's equipment and ensures effective, safe use.
Respond to questions and concerns of program participants and families.
Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
