General Summary
Responsible for conducting product development projects in support of key business directives as assigned. Contributes to the reverse engineer of existing products and the development of new products.

Duties and Responsibilities

Formulate products to achieve nutritional profile, ingredient statement, and product attributes of the target product under the direction of the Product Development Manager.
Date entry of developed formulas into Microsoft Dynamics NAV software, as well as modification of existing formulas as needed.
Generation of nutritional facts and ingredient statements utilizing FoodLabelMaker software.
Support Product Development Manager with regulatory work as needed, to include food labeling research, scheduled process submissions, and customer specific documentation needs.
Assist Purchasing department with ingredient sourcing and ingredient substitutions.
Assist Quality department with product specifications and work with QA to address any food safety or nutritional concerns to ensure accurate and safe product launches.
Assist Product Development Manager in documentation submission and communication with the Food Processing Authority to comply and operate in appropriate food product classifications.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, finance, purchasing, and operations.
Food label review and modifications according to FDA guidelines and regulations.
Stay informed of developments in the culinary, food science, and processing fields and suggest re-evaluation of current processes as deemed appropriate.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
