The Administrative Assistant will perform duties in our Reston, VA office. The work may include, but is not limited to, varying facilities, events, and administrative tasks.
FACILITIES AND EVENT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (50% - 70%)
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Collaborate with various departments to assess their facility needs and ensure efficient space utilization.
Ability to move furniture and other event items
Work closely with event organizers to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance and support throughout the planning and execution process.
Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
Courteously greeting and assisting customers, visitors, and employees at Corporate Headquarters in a highly professional manner
Handling incoming phone calls to Corporate HQ and assisting callers in a professional manner
Supporting Executive event and meeting planning including, but not limited to:
Booking conference rooms or other meeting/event space
Printing out agendas, name tags, and other meeting materials
Handling incoming and outgoing mail and shipping
Assisting with bank deposits and other financial duties
Restocking supplies in the conference rooms and the kitchen
Responding to a wide variety of unpredictable situations in a professional manner
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) years of experience as a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant/ Facilities Assistant/ Event Assistant OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and staff members.
MS 365; Web proficiency; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 5% of the time
Ability to clear required background check
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. regularly
Ability to reliably work in-person at Corporate HQ full-time
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Some knowledge of facility operations, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working as part of an administrative team
Certified Notary Public in Virginia preferred

This is an office position. The role requires reporting in person to Stride's HQ in Reston, VA, five days/week. The office noise level is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate this position will pay between $13.35 - $25.08 per hour. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
