Founded in 1981, Anchor Pump has been supplying Quality Products to Industrial Customers with an emphasis on service. In 2006, we acquired Kriebel Engineered Equipment to increase our customer base, expertise, and product offering. In 2009, we added Pumping Equipment Company (PECO) in NJ to our growing firm. Finally, in 2018, we added F.T. Thomas Pump to the group. We now offer the largest, most experienced field sales team in our market of PA, NJ, Metropolitan NY, DE and parts of WV. We have increased staffing, doubled our inventory, moved to a new centrally located warehouse, and computerized all of our operations. Anchor Pump distributes Peerless Pumps, Grunfos, as well as many other Industrial Pumps, Variable Frequency Drives, Seals, and Related Engineered Equipment. Summary:

You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued clients. In addition, you will recommend technical solutions to a varied industrial customer base, support outside sales, and generate complex quotes. The candidate must have a positive attitude, be a good communicator and have the technical skills to provide timely & accurate solutions to customers' applications. Experience using manufacturers' selection software, and troubleshooting technical problems is a plus. Candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver and a positive team player. Training will be provided on all portals, selection software, order entry program, and all other technical duties.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and cultivate positive customer relationships
• Provide price and availability on any standard or specialty items directly to customers
• Take and solicit orders from customers over the phone and via e-mail
• Process orders, via order entry system, from our stock or directly source from suppliers
• Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
• Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries.
• Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customer and suppliers.
• Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner.
• Work in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team
• Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail

• Ability to address concerns and communicate clearly and efficiently
• Convey a positive, customer-friendly disposition
• Handle and resolve challenging problems
• Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail and time management skills
• Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
• Strong customer-service focus with a passion to exceed customer expectations
• High energy, drive and sense of responsibility

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop/laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 15 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend, stand, sit, as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Strong mechanical aptitude a plus
