Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician must be able to perform and maintain front line quality inspections to control the level of product quality delivered to our customers.
Job Responsibilities
Read drawings to determine specifications and tolerances for a variety of machined metal components
Able to utilize a wide variety of inspection tools, particularly the use of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc. to inspect product
Define problems and report all issues with product to management for analysis and disposition
Ensure that containment activities take place when discrepancies and non-conforming product is identified
Perform all daily measurements and checks throughout the plant and maintain accurate documentation
Identify opportunities to improve product and present to management
Verify accuracy of inspection sheet data supplied from production group
Ensure quality control reference material for active production is available for operators
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED, preferred
Previous work in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferred
Possess the ability to read and understand product drawings
Must understand dimensional tolerance in both Metric and English
Working knowledge and ability to use measuring instruments and test equipment
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
Lifting up to 40 lbs.
Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking and squatting
Standing for long periods of time
