RSi is looking to fill an Aircraft Mechanic I in Ft Moore, GA, to support our Army customer. You will be part of a robust team working to maintain the aircraft used by the Army Ranger School. This role is full time, first shift (0700 - 1530), in Ft Moore, GA, on our UH60 Program.

Position Description Summary:

  • Removes, installs, and services aircraft subsystem assemblies and components.
  • Safely prepares aircraft for inspections and services.
  • Performs limited maintenance operational checks and troubleshoots aircraft systems.
  • Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Uses a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Inspects jet engine turbine blades
  • When designated shall obtain DOD EPA Refrigerant Processing Certificate Section 608 Technician Certification (Universal) or Minimum Type II.
  • When qualified and when required can perform non-crew member duties.
  • When qualified and as assigned for crane operator duties shall have three years of crane operation related experience and shall comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, Subpart: CC Cranes & Derricks in Construction 1926.1427 Operator qualification and Certification.
  • When required can use Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) for job duties.
  • Working with and repairing sheet metal as needed

Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

This position is subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as well as a pre-employment physical. This position also requires proof of a current (valid) FAA A&P license.

Required Experience/Education:

Aircraft maintenance personnel will have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with documented training (by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training) on the Model, Designation, Series (MDS) H60 series, they will be performing maintenance actions on or have a current (valid) FAA A&P license and at least one (1) years of documented experience in general aviation.

Specialty mechanics will possess a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with documented training on the MDS H60 series systems.

High School Graduate or GED

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements UH-60

Work Environment:

Aircraft areas/hangars, workshops, and other industrial settings

Physical Requirements:

Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position.

Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.

Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.

Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.

Other Essential Functions:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgement.

Security Clearance Requirement: N/A

This position requires FAA/DOT preemployment drug testing.
