The Sourcing Agent is responsible for sourcing and pricing product for the sellers and customers of BradyPLUS. This position will play a key role in driving topline and bottom line profits. The Sourcing Agent will oversee the company’s workflow process of assigned special-order items, item sourcing, quoting and vendor negotiations. He or she will be a strategic partner to sales and work closely with Supply Chain and Merchandising to provide pricing, freight quotes, and minimum order requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Independently source and price products.
Manage special-order intake process for special customer requests.
Validate requests against current assortment to eliminate redundant item set up.
Provide all pertinent information to sellers regarding special order item requests to include but not limited to cost, list, case packs, color, size, vendor minimums, lead time, freight, etc.
Complete new vendor and item setup for requests submitted by local divisions ensuring all. pertinent information is provided.
Perform Kit Maintenance.
Manage Item and POs for Parts Programs,
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of three years of experience in inventory management and purchasing.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Great verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, critical analysis, and multitasking skills.
Ability to professionally interact with a wide range of key executive members and management.
Good analytical skills and proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic math operations.
Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments and prioritize workflow with some supervision.
Capable of assimilating information quickly and reaching conclusions.
Understanding of the Purchasing Module of all applicable ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems preferred.
Previous P21 experience preferred.
