HOURLY RATE: $35.45- $56.53
Responsibilities
Under directive supervision does the less complicated construction and maintenance work on dead conductors, structures and equipment. Assists 1st Class and 2nd Class U.C.&M Men in the performance of the more involved work.
Will be expected to acquire pole climbing skills necessary in the performance of U.C.&M. work.
Under close supervision works on energized conductors, structures and equipment not exceeding 600 volts.
May be required to perform such work as driving truck and operating winch; cleaning parts, oiling, taping, soldering, minor servicing of electrical equipment, install simple power and lighting circuits, installing, removing, connecting or disconnecting electric meters and services.
Performs other related or less skilled work as directed.
Must acquire knowledge and skills necessary for advancement to U.C.&M. Man 2nd Class.
The knowledge and skills acquired will be determined by an appropriate test.
Experience, Education, and Special Information Required
Should have had at least one year's experience as Laborer 1/c in the Maintenance Department, or its equivalent.
Must have the ability to learn the work of the Maintenance Department as indicated by an appropriate test.
Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of moderate complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available. Equivalent to four years of high school; or two years of high school plus two years apprenticeship or trade school training.
Must be able to qualify for an automobile operator's license.

Physical Qualifications:
Normal health, physique and use of senses as indicated by passing the required physical examination given by a Company physician, including color perception.
Strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor in all kinds of outdoor weather conditions.
Personal Qualifications:
Should possess temperament suited to jobs where manual dexterity, precision and patience are particularly essential.
Must be willing to work extra and/or irregular hours and under unusual or special working conditions as required
