Description
Summary:

Trailer Bridge is looking for energetic, talented, and self-motivated go-getters to join our sales team. The Regional Sales Manager interacts at the highest levels with Trailer Bridge's largest customers to build and manage strategic relationships with key corporate accounts. This position coordinates account development at all levels.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain regularly scheduled contact with accounts to secure maximum participation and profitable cargo movements while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop new accounts with good revenue potential through personal contact with shippers.
  • Initiate pricing action in line with established guidelines when required in order to maintain existing volume and secure additional volume.
  • Manage and develop assigned accounts in a professional, economical, and efficient manner.
  • Assist management in formulating a sales plan and strategy that generates and maintains the highest volume of profitable cargo.
  • Communicate existing business climate and conditions and obtain competitive information.
  • Prepare revenue and expense budget forecasts for the assigned sales territory. Establish and attain sales goals.
  • Maintain effective budgetary control of sales expenses.
  • Understand customers' needs and incorporate into the company's business philosophies.
  • Promote positive communications within and between all departments of the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account files. Complete administrative paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years transportation sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Refined commercial sales skills.
  • Experience with Puerto Rico trade.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
