Overview

Under the supervision of the report manager, this position will complete the final review of Head Start monitoring review reports to ensure they are complete and accurate, and submitted to the Office of Head Start (OHS) within OHS and DLH determined timeframes. The position will track reports throughout the Monitoring Review Workflow and provide weekly status updates. When requested, this position will support staff involved in the monitoring process and review activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts analysis to ensure all report data and formats are correct, including the report template, contact names, grant recipient address, program information, spacing, and formatting prior to delivery to OHS.
  • Ensures data in report correctly reflects HSES data.
  • Proofreads final narrative reports for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with OHS monitoring report guidance and expectations.
  • Establishes and maintains a report tracking system that identifies report locations and statuses. Tracking reports are to be updated weekly and provided to the report manager and other management staff as requested.
  • Assists in developing, maintaining, and implementing report content and templates, and ensures the correct template is applied for each review outcome as needed.
  • Provides regular review status reports to the report manager.
  • Supports reporting team as requested to ensure timely contract deliverables.
  • Analyzes reports for discrepancies between evidence and data collected during monitoring activities and returns to the field operations manager or follow-up manager to reconcile.
  • Track internal and external requests to ensure timely responses are provided by the reporting and field operations teams as necessary. This includes requests from the OGC, the OHS, and DLH Leadership teams.
  • Attends appropriate training as required.
  • Suggests process improvements as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Head Start and/or Early Head Start program
  • Knowledge of the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) and other regulations preferred.
  • 2-4 years related experience in presentation, writing, editing, and
  • 2-4 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and tracking data and
  • Ability to travel 10-20%.

Basic Compensation: $75,000.00 to $82,000.00 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicants salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
