Qualifications



RS&H is currently seeking an experienced architectural associate to join our team in Merritt Island, Florida

This opportunity is for an associate pursuing architectural licensure and strong Revit production skills to work with our design teams on federal & military projects. RS&H is fortunate to have a wealth of project opportunities through our multiple long-term consulting contracts for Federal clients including GSA, military, and NASA. Our projects range from planning to small renovations to large multi-building projects and include both national and international projects in locations such as Japan, Europe, and the Middle East. This position is intended to be a career-building opportunity as the successful candidate will be mentored and expected to develop their architectural skills as part of a multi-discipline team.

This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the Buildings team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by developing exhibits for impact studies, assist in quantifying data for cost analyses, adhering to design requirements; designing project systems and components; preparing project documents; preparing and presenting drawings, visual aids, and presentations; and supporting quality control reviews. This position may also provide technical guidance, assign tasks to junior and support staff, and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams for designated projects.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in architecture or a master’s of architecture degree from an accredited program or seven years' relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree from an NAAB accredited program and eligibility to take the Architect Registration Exam (ARE) are strongly preferred.
  • Be knowledgeable of building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations informing life safety. Experience working with UFCs is preferred.
  • Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
  • Have a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
