The Team is looking to add an experienced and dynamicSenior Catering Managerto join their team to handle the social market!

Qualifications:

2 + Years Catering Sales Experience, preferably in the wedding/social market

Hotel Catering experience Strongly preferred

Proficiency in Salesforce/Delphi and Social Tables preferred

What Will I Be Doing?

AsSenior Catering Managerat Hilton Columbus Downtown,your primary focus will be within the hotel's rapidly-growing social catering market. You would be responsible for soliciting, securing and responding to customer inquiries regarding the purchase of food and beverage and the use of the hotel's event facilities in our continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Solicit, secure, and negotiate all social catering occasional corporate business - I.E. (Weddings, Galas, Milestone Celebration Parties, etc)
  • Host and entertain clients, conduct property tours and menu tastings, promote facilities and services and draft sales event agreements
  • Occasionally participate in trade shows, as well as attend industry and community events in an effort to promote our facilities and services
  • Maintain relationships among our customers, their representatives and the hotel to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
  • Detail all booked business; Initiate verbal and written communication with customers and hotel departments outlining details and specifics of the event including, but not limited to, payment structure, guest room block management, food and beverage/setup logistics, public room rental and/or exhibit hall fees, incremental and affiliate revenue streams, performance damages and master billing process
  • Partner with and maintain strong working relationships with all operations departments
  • Actively contribute to the team as a senior leader mentoring junior level managers and coordinators, while bringing innovative ideas that continue to grow our business
