Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the Center of Excellence application scientist team, including personnel, performance, and career development.
Motivate and challenge the team while encouraging constructive and collaborative working relationships.
In collaboration with Business Development, handle customer relations, and coordinate monthly/quarterly/biannual strategic meetings.
Implement innovative single-particle analysis workflow strategies to deliver protein and protein structures.
Offer mentorship on biochemical and sample preparation strategies, sample screening, and high-resolution data collection, as well as standard methodologies for cryo-EM implementation in BioPharma and Biotech environments.
Establish and cultivate relationships with product managers and R&D colleagues to support exploration and validation of new product concepts (hardware and software).
Maintain and monitor system performance.
Identify and resolve software and hardware issues.
Support activities to ensure high-quality results and efficiency.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or Structural Biology (PhD or equivalent experience).
Extensive background in high-end electron microscopy.
Proven track record to lead a team of highly educated, highly skilled professionals.
Experience interacting with customers, service teams, and R&D colleagues.
Strong communication and intercultural skills.
Ability to prioritize, direct multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, commitment to delivering quality work, and dedication to ongoing improvement.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to a diverse audience.
Ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $100,000.00-$149,950.00.
