Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a leading wholesale food distributor is seeking a Controller/CFO - reporting directly to ownership, this is a very hands-on role, responsible for monthly financial statement prep, profitability analyses, HR, Payroll, GL, AR, AP, bank recs and more.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining primary financial data for accounting records


• Check the accuracy of business transactions


• Perform data entry and administrative duties


• Work closely with outside accounting firm


• Please note: this job will initially require one to be in office 5 days a week; Future potential for hybrid arrangement

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of recent experience in accounting leadership, preferably in wholesale or food industry


• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP


• Excel is a must-familiarity with Acumatica or similar software a plus


• Management skills required to lead and direct office staff


• Deadline and detail-oriented approach

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
