JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Travel and Expense Solutions Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and defining business requirements, analyzing complex problems, and devising process changes in alignment with FTR, State (FAM), DoD JTR, and/or Treasury policies. The role requires a deep understanding of Federal Travel and Expense policies, as well as the ability to translate business needs into system specifications. The candidate will serve as a top-level contributor on complex projects, ensuring that travel and expense technology solutions are aligned with customer needs and industry best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Formulate and define business requirements for Federal Travel and Expense systems, considering user needs and Federal policies, including FTR, FAM, DoD JTR, and Treasury regulations.
  • Analyze complex problems related to travel and expense management, devise or modify procedures, and implement process changes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Translate business and user needs into system requirements and specifications for travel and expense solutions.
  • Provide expert consultation on service transition projects, considering the business implications of technology on both current and future travel and expense processes.
  • Collaborate with government customers, users, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet digital experience policies and industry capabilities.
  • Lead the documentation of requirements and system specifications for travel and expense management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Stay up-to-date on travel and expense policy changes and industry trends to recommend and implement best practices.
  • Act as the top-level contributor or specialist throughout various phases of service transition projects, providing leadership and guidance in travel and expense system implementations.
  • Ensure that technology applications align with business strategies, enhancing the overall travel and expense management environment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong understanding of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM), DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and/or Treasury travel policies.

Proven experience in travel and expense management systems, with a focus on federal government processes.

Experience in analyzing business needs and translating them into technical requirements and system specifications.

Ability to solve complex problems and modify procedures in travel and expense management.

Experience with digital experience policies and best practices for government travel and expense solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in implementing travel and expense technology solutions for federal government clients.

Familiarity with industry-leading travel and expense software.
