Overview

This position is a member of the Healthcare Professional Service Applications team and is responsible for providing CVIS support to the following but not limited to, Pediatric and Adult Echo lab, Cardio Cath lab and GI departments.

The Applications Analyst - reporting to the Manager Healthcare Professional Services, Applications, is responsible for the maintenance and oversight of the computer technology systems utilized by OHSU HealthSystems. This position specializes in administration of structured reporting, hemodynamic monitoring, imaging integrations, endoscopy monitoring (ProVation), and all ancilarry supporting systems. The Application Analyst serves as a liaison between service lines and for the purposes of assuring the computer technology systems operate efficiently with minimal disruption to operations. The incumbent will have both on-site and off-site responsibilities to, translate, communicate and escalate (when appropriate) any technology failures related to the computer applications. Likewise, the Application Analyst will assist in communicating any new changes to existing computer technology systems as a result of new build/enhancement/upgrades, feedback from staff, and/or a reported patient safety event. This role is responsible for providing support for Application Engineers within HPSA, tier 1 incident management, HPSA core function support, proactive and reactive security mitigation, security reviews and vulnerability analysis, thoroughly details technical documentation, ITIL guided asset management, On-site technical support, front-end desktop support, and other duties as necessary requested by the manager.



Responsibilities

Education:

Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and two years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years’ work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and five years’ work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Six years’ work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Successful candidates must have experience and working knowledge in operating system software, relational and/or hierarchical databases, and technical application support for administrative and clinical systems
  • Experience in the analysis and design of systems and experience
  • Experience in developing specifications for system to system interfaces.
  • Successful clients must have experience in managing multiple projects
  • Experience in managing complex customer relationships in an enterprise setting
