Basic Job Functions:




The rail operators are responsible for safe rail car movements on/off site & must follow federal operating guidelines when operating in public areas.The role of a Rail Operator includes but is not limited to coordinating daily with Logistics Lead, receiving inbound trains, switching scrap, Environmental, G1/G2 and melt shop consumable cars, building outbound for CN, preventive maintenance for switch stands and maintain clear railroad crossings. Must be willing to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including weekends and holidays
