Job Description:

Salary/Position Classification


  • $52,000-$62,000 Annual, Exempt

  • 40 hours per week


Purpose of Position

The position will be a hybrid between pre-award and post-award, with the following major job responsibilities:



  • Assist faculty and staff in preparing and submitting external funding proposals

  • Analysis of grant expenses and budget progress

  • Complete monthly and periodic reporting

  • Complete project closeout for expiring grants


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze faculty and staff external funding proposals by contacting funding agencies concerning specific programs, eligibility, grant preparation guidelines, etc.

  • Analyze grant expenses and budget progress by utilizing monthly reports to analyze current spending and identify potential concern areas and reviewing salary forecasting

  • Complete monthly and periodic reporting that provided to manage grand effort monthly reporting. Also track each incumbent's effort through the Effort Reporting Period and work with PI to get the PAC report signed by the required deadline.

  • Complete project closeout for expiring grants

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field OR two years of college and three years of directly related work experience. December 2024 graduates will be considered.

  • Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or advanced degree in a related field

  • Experience with grants administration in an academic or research setting
