We currently are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support our Adult Telecommunications at our Kenmore location. This is a per diem position. This position has the ability to work remotely over time.


The Nurse Practitioner (MNA) Physician Assistant in our Adult Call Center works collaboratively with a team of medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a dynamic, collegial call center setting. Telephone calls can range from routine to emergent and may require prescription writing and interaction with an on-call MD. The NP has access to comprehensive patient information via our fully-integrated EMR system, Epic.


The Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner (MNA) must have graduated from a master's level state program and NLN approved NP program and possess state licensure to practice in the expanded role. PA must be a graduate of a State approved program for Physician Assistants. Possesses national certification and licensure as a PA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. NP/PA must possess and maintain eligibility for DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration.

Skills and Experience: This role is not an entry level position; it requires experienced clinicians who can provide advice and reassurance for concerned parents calling during off shift hours. Minimum of 2 years of experience required and ambulatory experience is preferred. Strong triaging, excellent clear verbal communication, strong computer and proficient writing skills required. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and EPIC.
