Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable data architectures to support EMR migration, leveraging data mesh principles

  • Data Migration: Lead the migration of data from legacy EMR systems to new platforms, ensuring data integrity and security

  • Modern Data Stack: Utilize modern data stack technologies to build robust data pipelines and workflows

  • Data Sharing: Develop and maintain solutions for secure and efficient data sharing across systems and stakeholders

  • Data Products: Create and manage data products that provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team, ensuring best practices in data management and integration

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all data migration processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data migration processes and solutions







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data migration and healthcare IT

  • Experience with Data Mesh architecture and principles

  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing

  • Experience in developing and managing data products

  • Knowledge of data sharing frameworks and protocols

  • Proficiency in technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake

  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty

  • Google Professional Data Engineer

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
