Continuously seeks and implements improvements in safety, food safety, quality, and production processes.
Updates and disseminates new and revised Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards to team members.
Plans and organizes production and packaging schedules to achieve production targets.
Leads weekly meetings with Operations Supervisors to discuss performance updates.
Oversees the movement of goods in and out of the production area and coordinates activities related to fulfilling frozen orders.
Manages staff by interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance to foster a strong company culture.
Tracks and communicates new hire training progress in collaboration with the plant trainer.
Provides development opportunities for employees to enhance their career growth.
Monitors and manages employee attendance and PTO requests to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Analyzes performance data to measure productivity, achieve goals, and identify areas for cost reduction and program improvement.
Maintains operational data, including time, production, and cost records, and prepares management reports on production results.
Resolves worker issues, complaints, or grievances in consultation with management or subordinates.
Requires a hands-on approach.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate supervisors responsible for employees in food processing. Oversees the direction, coordination, and evaluation of production units. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, and resolving complaints and problems.
