Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for their manufacturing facility near Akron, OH.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the plant's quality program
- Ensure assembly operations meet company and customer specifications.
- Manage new processes and implementation in regards to new product launches
- Participate on plant continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in customer meetings
- Participate in quality reporting and management review process.
- Provide process improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- BS/BA from an accredited college or University required; technical degree a plus!
- 3+ years' experience within the manufacturing sector within an engineering or production background that includes a strong quality metric focus.
- Experience with formal Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement projects
- Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification highly preferred.
- Strong software experience with software systems such as Minitab or other statistical software packages
