What will I be doing?
As a Complex Sales Manager, you will be responsible for securing groups and conventions by building relationships with customers and managing new business opportunities. You will work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, creating strategies to maximize hotel revenue and exceed sales goals.

Position Summary:


  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through proactive efforts, database research, and networking.
  • Represent the hotel in developing market segments, building new customer relationships, and maintaining existing accounts.
  • Maximize revenue and profitability across all hotel revenue streams.
  • Analyze historical, current, and future market trends, and develop business strategies that exceed sales goals.
  • Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureaus, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
  • Participate in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events to increase market visibility.
  • Coordinate customer specifications (including room, food and beverage, and meeting space requirements) using the lead management system (Delphi FDC).
Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Account Management:

  • Apply strong sales skills to create customer value and differentiate Hilton from the competition.
  • Represent the hotel in all customer interactions, including business proposals and contract execution.
  • Conduct site inspections using tailored storytelling to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities that align with both short and long-term objectives.

Prospecting:

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and generate leads to maximize new room revenue.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to uncover customer needs, build relationships, and win new business.

Negotiations:

  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end-user customers and intermediaries.
  • Provide solutions that meet the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal during the contracting process when needed. #LI-AT3

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:


  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of Hotel experience in guest contact areas. Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes.
  • Highly professional presentations and oral and written communication skills.
