Job Description:

The Senior Director of Contracts Solutions will serve as a leader in delivering Epiq’s Contracts Solutions business to our blue-chip corporate client base.  Working closely with colleagues in Epiq’s industry-leading eDiscovery business, this role will build and implement the processes and technology needed to provide Epiq clients with insights into the terms and clauses in their commercial contracts, often in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs and regulatory events.

Sales Opportunity Scoping & Alignment

Participate in Sales Scoping Sessions: Collaborate with the sales team to define project use cases, success criteria, scope, timelines, pricing models, and resource needs, ensuring they align with the Contract Solutions practice’s delivery capabilities. These sessions directly support practice growth by ensuring projects are scoped for both client success and future expansion opportunities.

RFP Responses: Lead or contribute to responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating with the RFP team on submissions from channel partners and overflow from direct sales. This ensures a competitive and compelling response to potential business opportunities, facilitating growth of the practice.

Delivery Methodology: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in client meetings, clearly articulating the delivery methodology to prospective clients. This ensures clients understand the structured and proven processes that lead to successful project outcomes, enhancing the credibility of the practice.

Seamless Transition from Sales to Delivery

Handoff Management: Oversee the handoff process from sales to delivery, ensuring alignment between client expectations, project scope, and the delivery team’s capabilities. A smooth transition enhances client trust and satisfaction, which is vital to practice growth through repeat business and client referrals.

Client Success Management: Provide ongoing guidance to delivery teams, ensuring projects meet the initial client expectations set during the scoping phase. Ensure all KPIs and benchmarks are established, supporting the creation of case studies and success stories to fuel the practice’s growth strategy.

Supporting the Channel Partner Strategy

Channel Partner Collaboration: Work closely with key CLM software vendors and channel partners to ensure alignment between sales, delivery, and partner teams. Provide input to ensure solutions proposed by channel partners are in line with delivery capabilities and client needs.

Leverage Channel Opportunities: Identify and develop opportunities to grow the Contract Solutions practice through existing and new channel partner relationships, supporting joint go-to-market strategies, co-branded initiatives, and collaborative delivery models.

Developing Value Proposition Content

Content Creation: Develop and deliver content that highlights the value proposition of the Contract Solutions practice. This includes creating case studies, presentations, and marketing materials that showcase the tangible benefits of CLM and Contracts Solutions services. By communicating these success stories, the role helps position the practice as a leader in the market, attracting new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones.

Marketing & Sales Enablement: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop content that supports business development efforts, positioning the practice as a trusted partner in contract lifecycle management.

Practice Growth & Expansion

Drive Practice Development: Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities for expanding the Contracts Solutions practice. Develop strategies for scaling services, increasing profitability, and improving the practice’s market position.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for additional services and ensuring client satisfaction. This role directly influences client retention and organic growth, key to expanding the practice.

Benchmarking & KPIs for Growth: Establish and track delivery benchmarks, KPIs, and client satisfaction metrics to quantify success and identify areas for improvement. These metrics will be leveraged to build a compelling business case for the growth and expansion of the practice.

Consulting and Strategy Projects

Project Delivery: Bandwidth permitting, lead or participate in strategic consulting projects such as Current State Assessments, To-Be Process designs, Roadmap development, and Vendor Selection. These projects position the practice as a thought leader and trusted advisor, which is critical for business development and market penetration.

Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a senior consultant and SME on key projects, guiding teams through project management, requirements definition, future state design, and solution architecture. These engagements ensure that the practice delivers consistent, high-quality outcomes that build long-term client relationships and fuel practice growth.
