Position Overview
Complete responsibility for sales and marketing of all aggregate, asphalt, and construction services in the Southern Tier market area.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
In-person sales coverage of entire market area including, but not limited to, Steuben, Allegany, and Cattaraugus counties
Developing and strengthening relationships with customers and hauling sub-contractors in the municipal, commercial, and residential market segments
Collaboration with the construction line of business to pursue and execute in-place paving projects for customers in the municipal and commercial market segments.
Accurate pricing of products based on given cost factors. Work closely with operations personnel to maximize opportunities.
Active communication with other divisions and Lines of Business within the company to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality Control, Billing and Accounts Receivable
Establish and regularly review robust Key Account Plans targeting the appropriate set of customers and fully execute the objectives laid out in those plans.
Actively track and record market Intel by keeping fully abreast of the current market conditions and the activities of competitors.
Accurate and timely preparation and entry of various data including formal quotes, sales calls, and market Intel into Salesforce per CRH and Dolomite standards.
Become an active member in Industry Associations by attending luncheons, association functions, volunteering for positions on their boards and generally developing relationships with the members and the leadership of those organizations.
Adhere to any and all state and federal regulations, if applicable, as set forth by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), or any other regulatory agency.
Additional Requirements
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual, as well as the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Manual.
Must possess a valid driver's license and dependable transportation to and from the job site.
Have proficient computer skills with web-based applications and standard office type programs.
Strong communication skills and ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Relevant construction materials and/or sales experience preferred, but not required
Compensation & Company Benefits:
Base Salary is $65,000 - $70,000 per year
