Our client, a reputable law firm in La Jolla, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in commercial litigation to join their dynamic team. If you have over 5 years of experience, hold an ABA certificate, and are a notary public, we want to hear from you!
Position: Litigation Paralegal Location: La Jolla, CA Schedule: Onsite at least 3 days a week Experience: 5+ years in commercial litigation
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with federal, state, and appellate filings, including e-filing procedures.
Draft, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
Perform legal research and prepare case summaries.
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up-to-date.
Calendar deadlines and manage court schedules.
Coordinate and assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial binders and exhibits.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Conduct administrative duties as needed to support the litigation team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
Notary public certification preferred.
Proficiency in e-filing with federal, state, and appellate courts.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in legal research and litigation support software.
