This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an DX Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for :

  • You will be responsible to drive IT architecture and implementation of a data ecosystem for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics (DX)
  • You will be a change leader in digital architecture & data framework activities for DX and ensure alignment with the SHS IT overall data architecture
  • You will be responsible to design & deploy an innovative data ecosystem for DX based on the SHS data ecosystem, that serve enterprise data products and digital use cases through multiple channels (API, AI, Service Layer, Data Visualization) for the DX business
  • You will position the needs of the DX business with the global SHS data ecosystem team and drive technical alignment
  • You will be responsible to identify and integrate DX specific IT tools to support data domains across all DX businesses
  • You will work with the DX data ecosystem product owner to constantly evolve the DX data ecosystem platform through partnering with multiple internal functions, technology centers and implementation teams to design solutions to enable digitalization
  • You are responsible to design the DX data ecosystem in a way it operates efficient and effective catering the needs of the DX business
  • You will collaborate with the Digital Advancement Office within DX to build an end2end digital architecture integrating lab/machine data and enterprise data
  • You will bridge business requirements with implementation teams and ensure proper deployment within the DX data ecosystem
  • You will govern technical, implementation and IT operational standards to successfully operate a data fabric approach for DX.
  • You will work in Agile-Scrum methodology to deliver platform architecture and solutions for DX

  • Practical understanding of how to design and implement data pipeline / platform architecture to support digitalization including all data centric applications
  • Broad understanding of modern data pipeline / platform architecture topics from data source to consumption
  • Broad understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies and integration within a data landscape
  • Practical experience with Enterprise IT systems and the data structures (SAP ERP, CRM, Finance), large scale data lake architectures (Snowflake and Databricks), Data through API (Snaplogic, REST), data transformation tools (dbt cloud & mesh, KNIME or Alteryx), data streaming, data virtualization, Data Visualization technologies (Power BI, Qlik), and/or similar solutions
  • Experience in Data Vault architecture
  • Experience working in Scaled Agile and Scrum framework and Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate "hands-on" with platform architects across IT service landscape to drive, build and maintain the global DX data pipelines
  • Experience in federating data products across Business areas and domains into a single serving layer including advanced security architectures
  • Publish and maintain data architecture concepts
  • Classify and organize data sources
  • Drive mitigation of Data sourcing / platform issues and SLA definitions and monitoring
  • Defend and collaborate on a data architecture vision
  • Enablement of business users and development teams on development and deployment standards
  • Identify and drive resolution of missing links between data sources

Required skills to have for the success of this role


  • You are data minded & privacy/security focused
  • You are required to develop broad and solid knowledge of the core business domains and processes for full scope of DX data products
  • You have multi-year experience in healthcare or med-tec companies and understand data concepts in this industry
  • You are able and willing to design and implement modern architectures & solutions
  • You have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) especially bridging technical and business acumen
  • You work effectively in global, cross-functional and multi-cultural teams (candidates with multi-year experience preferred)
  • You have demonstrated the ability to guide data engineers, data analysts, data scientists and IT professionals in building comprehensive data solutions
  • You have experiences in working with key stakeholders gathering and understanding requirements and designing technical solutions.
  • You have a broad understanding of digital strategy and the tools/technologies that make-up the Enterprise Architecture
  • You have deep professional know-how and experience in data transformation and data sharing within a global acting enterprise.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple data-related initiatives, balancing long-term architectural goals with short-term deliverables.
  • You have a broad understanding of IT strategy, IT industry standards
  • Ideally you understand tools and technologies that make-up the current SHS IT landscape
  • Solid professional judgment and problem-solving competence. Improves existing processes and approaches with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and/or other core business applications required
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience within Business Process Improvement, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and/or Business Analyst role(s)
  • Willing to travel up to 25%, minimum on-site presence 2-3 days per week

The pay range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. The annual incentive target is (15%) of base pay. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
