The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.
Providing technical support for gas chromatographs in the regional area.
Managing and reporting quality data to internal/external customers throughout the region.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Technical coursework beyond high school
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred.
5 years of laboratory industry experience can commensurate with Bachelor's degree.
Experience developing Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality of control is preferred.
Experience with Natural Gas liquids and Liquified Petroleum Gas products is preferred.
Chemical Hygiene Plan execution experience is preferred.
Willing to cover overtime shifts.
Experience with:
Chromatography basics (both operation and maintenance)
Analytical software packages
LIMS
Wet Chemistry techniques
Interpretation of standard testing procedures (GPA, ASTM, and UOP)
Procedure review and writing
SQC experience in a laboratory environment, interpreting and creating control charts.
Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.
Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills and a strong work ethic.
Able to work well with others and able to receive constructive criticism and direction while on Shift.
Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel and Word.
Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously develop and improve his/her skills through formalized and on-the-job training.
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
