We are seeking an experienced Manager of Product Design for our Production Design team. This team is responsible for the most critical horizontal features across all of Yahoo (which include identity, payments, privacy, CMS and commerce). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading production design and a team of production designers. This person should be able to set up processes and collaborate with Product Design leaders to provide production design support to their team. and user-centric design solutions. The successful candidate will lead a team of talented production designers to accelerate design velocity and adoption of our design system

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead a group of production designers in our Central Design organization

  • Collaborate with product designers and product design leaders

  • Mentor and manage a team of productiond esigners, providing them with direction, feedback, and guidance

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence in design

  • Work with systems design to understand how their team can support the advancement of that team's roadmap

  • Monitor design trends and emerging technologies to ensure we remain on the forefront of tools and processes

  • Work with stakeholders to create compelling presentations to communicate how production design works

Requirements:


  • At least 4 years of experience in product design

  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams

  • Expertise in production design

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts to stakeholders and senior management

  • Ability to operationalize a process to support teams.

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
