Job Title: Conveyor Operator
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Superintendent
SUMMARY
Operates quarry, yard or wash plant and conveyors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Operates plants/crushers to achieve maximum capacity and efficiency
Checks and changes screens as necessary
Repairs conveyors when needed
Assures that all parts are properly greased and serviced
Checks fluid levels in speed reducers and crushers
Assures that all guards and walkways are maintained in proper working order
Performs daily plant inspection and keeps log of needed repairs
Adjusts cones as needed
Assures that equipment is properly locked out before maintenance work is performed
Must always use the correct equipment and work in a safe manner
Is responsible for plant/crusher maintenance
Adjusts crusher and runs Teledyne (as needed)
Maintain Dust Suppression Equipment
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead man for stockpile drivers (as needed)
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and performance of shut down and start up procedures of the plant.
Must be willing to start early and work through dinner to check plant.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
