Job Description



The Manager, Panel Services, EMR Data (Ophthalmology), will support, and help build out our successful research and clinical trials offerings.


This individual will have a proven track record of success in both business building and operational delivery. A key focus of this role will be to establish and implement an effective panel services strategy, driving growth and economic value for both our research and clinical trials offerings.


The ideal candidate will be either US- or Canada-based with regular travel within these regions and occasional travel to the UK.



Key role objectives:




  • Maintain existing panel members

The more than 300 retinal specialist panel members are highly valued and are key to our business. It is imperative that we provide panel members with high quality services that are of value to them. Currently, we provide medical practice panel members with regular reports and highly technical analysis for publication, and clinical trial service offerings, such as chart review and trial candidate identification services. In addition, CorEvitas is asked by practices for special analysis of varying degrees of complexity - and so our scientific partnership is at the heart of our relationship.





  • Developed paid subscription products for practices

While focusing on optimizing our current panel membership, CorEvitas is also continually growing our panel - both of which require creative ways to expand paid subscription services and identify new revenue opportunities to practices. This requires analysis of processes within practices that can be made more efficient, identify revenue generating opportunities for practices or otherwise enhance the value to practices.


Working with other areas of the business to find solutions to time-consuming work within practices. Automate or otherwise make more efficient services practices find valuable.





  • Expand the number of physicians in the retina panel

CorEvitas is in the process of expanding its panel both in terms of numbers of physicians and physician specialties. This requires concentrated efforts to demonstrate the value of our services, overcoming resistance to data sharing, contacting practices, and presenting benefits of joining the physician panel.



Specific responsibilities will include:



  • Develop relations with practice EMR platform providers

  • Oversee all BAAs with practices

  • Identify opportunities to offer panel members value added services to reduce payment costs

  • Lead in the tool development needed to assist in the management, retention, and expansion of our practice network

  • Introduce technology and automation to generate efficiencies (panel and trials)

  • Lead development of commercial solutions for physicians and practices

  • Identify opportunities to leverage research papers created via our research team and the physicians we work with

  • Attend retinal focused symposia and events - for client engagement and physician growth

  • Be part of the wider SEMRD leadership team driving operations alongside strategic change

  • Contribute to the wider CorEvitas group growth and strategic plan


Your key strengths include:



  • Excellent verbal and written communications

  • Well-versed in cross-team communication and relationships, including sales support

  • Flexible, out-of-the-box thinker

  • Process orientated, able to analyze, evaluate and standardize

  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Ability to understand and present complex data analysis to key clients within the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, other professionals within medical practices (photographer, lab, etc.) and administrative staff within practices

  • Commercial awareness and able to engage commercially with a wide range of medical professionals

  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills


Additional Experience and Qualifications:



  • University graduate preferably science related, economics or business (Essential). A postgraduate qualification would be beneficial

  • Some familiarity with medical practices demonstrated by experience working in a practice or providing services to medical practices (Preferred)

  • Some knowledge of the overall health care system, MIPS, regulations applicable to data collection, billing process and financial systems used within practices (Preferred)

  • Experience in retina or general ophthalmology would be beneficial

  • Knowledge of clinical trials and research demonstrated by previous working experience.
