One of our clients in Glendale, California is looking for a Data Product Manager with the following skills and experience:
We are seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of data-driven products, driving business value through data insights and governance. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in data product management, SQL, and exceptional communication skills, who can effectively collaborate with both engineering teams and high-level business stakeholders in an agile environment.
Must Have Skills:
1)Data Product experience is required
2)Proficiency with SQL
3)Data Governance is nice to have but not required
4)Snowflake or Databricks-this is not an engineering role but needs to have experience with either technology
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in data product management or a similar role within data-focused environments.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
Solid understanding of data warehousing, data governance, and data security principles.
Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is highly desirable, though not required.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineers and business stakeholders alike.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, and an understanding of data architecture and modeling.
Experience in agile environments, with a focus on delivering value through iterative development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the media and entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their business applications is advantageous.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
