As a System Administrator you will provide consolidated help desk function/serve as the government IT focal point for customer support. The System Administrator function shall be capable of handling the full range of IT-related issues to include: supporting walk-up, telephone, or e-mail customer problem resolution; receive, answer, and transfer, when required, trouble calls and maintenance requests in support of all government missions and personnel; assign a ticket number and track communication system outages and repair actions until the issue is resolved; and deliver all software, designs, records, databases, manuals, guides, standard operating procedures, and similar items developed in rendering problem resolution services. Meet all government IT requirements for the entire life cycle of each IT service to include steady-state day-to-day operations. To ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency and to encourage cross training, employees will be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary.
This is an on-site position that requires United States Citizenship and a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, fix failures and document within ServiceNow ticketing system
Develop reliability system upgrades for government personnel review
Process new account request for NIPR/SIPR
Perform preventative maintenance which includes but is not limited to the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patches
Serves as On-Site computer maintenance technician
Assist Cyber Team with Incident Response procedures
Manage Windows Active Directory for NIPR/SIPR accounts
Assist with JWICS account management/ServiceCentral Ticketing system
Provide Tier 1/2 support for customer tickets in our trouble ticketing system
Provide Tier 1/2 support for customer phone calls to our support line
Troubleshoot escalated/high level customer issues remotely and on customer premises
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on new customer deployments
Assist in inventory management as directed
Installation of customer equipment at designated facilities
Provision/image new systems/deployed new systems
Assist/support AV/VTC Technicians with set up and troubleshooting of AV equipment
Perform administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Required Skills:
1-3 years of system administration experience, preferably with USAF NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
Very strong, proven customer service skills, with the ability to build personal relationships with non-technical customers
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, team environment
Active TS/SCI security clearance/eligibility
Security + certification
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
Preferred:
Windows 10/Windows 11 Experience
H.S. Diploma. Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering related field highly Desired; Level of education may be substituted for years of experience
Knowledge of Unix systems administration
Projection and VTC experience
PXE/LRA experience a plus
Locations:
This position will be expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs.
Rate:
$80K - $95K
