Job Description:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Ability to read and access paperwork and submittal drawings

  • Follow standard work.

  • Have been welding coils for a year.

  • Capability to understand quality standards and seek out issues on the line to communicate to Station Leader.

  • Capable of flexing to all stations, as needed, i.e. benders, Orbital weld, test coils, and special coil connection welding.

  • Perform a variety of welding tasks) including, but not limited to: Reading, interpreting, welding, and fabricating BAC parts from certified prints; do water-tight welding and also able to repair coils.


  • Have the job knowledge to run the benders, program new circuits, and maintain the equipment.

  • Understanding of basic Lean Principles of 8 Wastes and 5S program. The ability to contribute new ideas and sustain these processes.

  • Must consistently demonstrate good performance in the area of productivity, safety, and overall work habits.

  • Ability to fill-in for the Station Leader, directing and training a group of Mechanics.

  • Basic knowledge of computers including but not limited to Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Team leader, Plant superintendent or Plant manager.

  • Must have good attendance. This requires applicant not to have been on the points system in the previous year.

  • Ability to work any shift if needed.
