Supervises, coaches, instructs, and coordinates the activities of three of more Agents on a daily basis.
Serves as a direct liaison between the company's Land and Right-of-Way Department and various public and governmental contacts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Typically negotiates appraisals, acquisitions, damage, etc.
Prepares applications for permits, licenses and bonds
Makes correct settlement agreements
Ensures that safety and environmental regulations and procedures are being consistently observed
Will at times, perform Right of Way Agent III job duties along with supervising ROW Agents
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Minimum of seven years of pipeline right of way acquisition experience
Some lead experience preferred
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Associate's degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Real Estate or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of right of way leases, grants, fee purchase mechanisms
Familiar with real estate public records and is knowledgeable of ownership rights associated with these documents
Familiar with condemnation procedures
Understands mapping and drawings pertinent to project scope
Excellent organization and time management skills
Excellent problem solving skills with ability to recommend timely and cost effective solutions
Ability to present detailed status reports as prescribed by company
Ability to coordinate outside land services as needed
Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring, knowledge transfer and project planning
Ability to persuade individuals with differing opinions or interest to change criteria or methods, accept findings or reach agreement on technical points
