Job Description:

Set Pay Rate: $28.48 Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-FridayJob Summary:Responsible for directing day-to-day operations and management of a facility that transports, ships, and receives personal property to/from government and commercial sources. The Supervisor is responsible for directing and participating in day-to-day operations and implementing programmatic and administrative policies and procedures in order to attain program goals and objectives.Essential Functions:


  • Complies with all Agency policies and procedures and follows contract specifications
  • Makes recommendations to the Project Manager in accordance with overall goals and objectives
  • Serves as a team leader who is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and constructive team spirit among all site staff members.
  • Aids fellow employees whenever the need arises and is familiar with all job roles and duty requirements.
  • Utilizes and performs duties in DPS, MilMove, CitiManager, CEDMS, CBARS, DFAS SmartVoucher, MyPay, HomeSafe, and GOPAX systems.
  • Works with the Chimes Project Manager to processes employee payroll and maintains system files for accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for the dissemination of important policy and information updates regarding the industry.
  • Gives retirement entitlements and personal property informational briefings monthly. Ensures all staff certifications and required trainings are current and up to date for all employees. Maintains effective liaison with the Director of Contract Operations, Operations Advisor, Administrative Operations Region, and
  • Government Representatives to ensure that all services are met within the contract specifications.
  • Monitors and addresses all customer concerns including the claims process.
  • Counsel customers on the procedures for shipping and receiving personal property including claims procedures.
  • Respects confidentiality and carries out all responsibilities in a professional manner with regard to site appearance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with all policies.
  • Provides support to the Human Resources Department (HRD) to ensure proper wage and hours submission, performance appraisal requirements are met, and personnel file documentation is obtained for Transportation Office personnel.
  • Liaison with personnel and the HRD regarding payroll, insurance benefits, and policies and procedures issues.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Prepares and reviews project reports for management, clients, and others.
  • Reviews and implements safety policies and procedures to meet federal and company standards; monitors activities where accidents may occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel or equipment; and assists in the activities of the safety committee by providing technical and administrative support.
  • Provides leadership to staff by fostering teamwork while balancing team and individual responsibilities; gives feedback to nurture a positive team spirit and quality performance; and models dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and professional personal appearance.
  • Assists with contract review and wage determination rate reviews
  • Maintains the system of detailed property records to cover all assets, ensuring that records reflect updated information such as type, number, location, and cost (or value) of inventoried property.
  • Develops and implements quality control procedures, monitors the work produced under this contract, and initiates corrective actions to ensure conformance with established standards and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains a complete set of operational files to include but not limited to:

    • Daily spreadsheets for monthly billing Employee timesheets
    • First Report of Injury
    • Briefing PowerPoint Slides
    • Daily receipts /issues
    • Daily schedules
    • Damage reports
    • Shipping documents

Secondary Functions:

  • Performs other duties, tasks, and special projects as required

Essential Personnel: This position is designated as essential. This means that when the facility is facedwith an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at theirwork location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Previous experience in DPS, MilMove, CitiManager, CEDMS, CBARS, DFAS SmartVoucher, MyPay, HomeSafe, and GOPAX systems.
  • Previous Supervisory experience
