AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist to be located in Mountville, PA. The Human Resource (HR) Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR team and management in supporting designated departments. The HR Generalist will play a key role in driving HR initiatives such as benefits, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, compliance, training, and employee development. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
JOB DUTIES:
Assist in the administration of the company’s benefit programs
Support employees in understanding their benefits and addressing any related questions or issues
Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation and benefits information is maintained
Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, disability, and workers compensation
Ensure accurate time and attendance tracking for employees and provide support for time off inquiries
Partners with Talent Manager and HRBPs at Headquarters location to provide sourcing, administrative and screening support for the recruitment function along with onboarding and off-boarding support.
Participates in annual compliance filing processes, audits and compliance testing by providing data, analyzing data, and submitting data as directed and within required deadlines.
Provides assistance during annual benefits open enrollment; supports employee benefits communication, benefit mailbox support, unemployment claim administration and ongoing education.
Help to manage benefits data using related HR systems, run queries and perform regular audits on data.
Assist in the design, development and implementation of employee communications, educational efforts, benefit enrollment events, and management of electronic information.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist in maintaining and updating employee handbooks, policies and procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information, including personnel files
Maintain HR metrics and generate reports on key HR indicators (turnover, recruitment, training)
Utilize HR systems for data entry and tracking employee information (experience with HRIS system UKG a plus)
Serve as a point of contact for employees to address questions and concerns through multiple email boxes (Leaves, Benefits, HR)
Will foster a culture of recognition and help to maintain the recognition website
LMS system support
Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and company events
Contribute to building a positive, collaborative and dynamic workplace environment
Maintains employee confidence by keeping information confidential
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
2-4 years of experience in Hurman Resources role, preferably as a generalist
SHRM-CP or PHY certification a plus
Minimum of 2-4 years HR experience including a minimum of 3 years’ experience administering qualified benefit programs
An understanding of HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, Internal Revenue Codes (as they apply to health and welfare plans), and other statues governing employer sponsored benefit plan
Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business, or other related subject area preferred
SHRM-CBP or other professional certification preferred
Advanced skillset and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to web-based applications
UKG system experience preferred.
Superior communication skills (written/oral/ presentation), able to present clear and concise briefings and reports at all levels of an organization, both individually, within a team setting or large group
Experience in a multi-state, multi-site environment
Experience with similar industry and/or midsized companies, experiencing rapid organic growth and expansion through acquisition is strongly desired
Demonstrated capability to improve and scale processes and systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HCM, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices.
