Join our team as the Primary Care Pediatric or Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner! You will provide clinical services to youth in our Crisis Psychiatric Care program (subacute) as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The youth served range in age from 5-17 years old.
This will be a part-time role with variable hours, alternating weeks with another primary care nurse practitioner. During the weeks you are on duty, generally see patients in person one day for 0-3 hours. Be available on call weeknights (Monday through Friday) from 5-10pm for management of needs that cannot wait until the next available in person appointment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assess health status of children and adolescents and provide care and treatment as needed.
On-site regular attendance, some flexibility in schedule is ideal.
Participates in on call rotation by phone on weekday evenings (alternating every other week).
Prescribes medication as needed for specific medical issues.
Collaborates with psychiatry team as needed and counseling to patients and legal guardians.
Consistently use electronic EMR and electronic timesheet system.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Masters of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree
Excellent communication skills including diplomacy, tact, and effective "bedside manner."
Ability to hold DEA Prescriptive Authority.
Ability to procure and maintain licensure and certification according to Oregon and Federal law.
Maintain National Board Certification.
Current CPR certification or can obtain this upon hire.
Prefer at least 2 years of experience in primary care.
Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, consistent with work requirements. Ability to lift 40 pounds; move among and safely control several pieces of therapeutic equipment; move throughout a large clinic; transition rapidly from seated and standing positions. Ability to communicate verbally on a standard telephone.
Proficient use of MS Office suite, ability to gain proficiency in EMR and electronic timesheet system.
Ability to meet all background check, reference, and credentialing requirements
