POSITIONSUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Mobile Services Supervisor, the Sweeper Operator/Recycle Driver will operate the sweeper and trucks between plant locations and around the DFW area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate Sweeper to clean plants of dirt and trash.
Operates Recycle truck to transfer recycled concrete to designated crushing sites.
Operate Recycle truck in a safe and efficient manner adhering to Martin Marietta rules and regulations, including Safe Driving Policy
Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, changing brushes, checking and adding fluids as needed.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Assist maintenance with repairs as needed.
Communicates and directs coworkers verbally either directly, tracking device or hand signals.
Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site.
Assists in training of co-workers as needed.
Demonstrate a good knowledge in securing truck for maintenance.
Required to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess, at minimum, a valid Class C License
Must have clean driving history and focus on safety
One-year experience operating sweeper, or heavy duty/diesel equipment.
Possess a safe driving record
Ability to perform well in a "TEAM" environment
Self-motivator
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to operate hand controls with both hands.
Ability to operate foot pedals with both feet.
Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching.
Ability to use vibration tools.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.
Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 12 feet
Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work up to 12 hour shifts
Move in and out of heavy duty equipment
Sit for long period of time
Climb up and down steps
Lift objects of various dimensions and weights.

Most time is spent outside in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel and other elements.
