Job Description:

The Department of Administrative Services is currently seeking someone to fill our Garnishment Processor Position. The Garnishment Processor will respond to garnishment requests, entering new garnishments, all associated steps in processing garnishments from entry, to paying the vendors. They will also answer employee questions, responding to courts about cases, maintaining case files, working with agencies -colleges and universities for new and existing cases.

Job Duties: Receiving mail and sorting. Processing garnishments, reviewing priorities. Child support entries. State and Federal Levy processing. Bankruptcies, student loan and US Treasury entries. Processing continuing liens, extensions and releases. Processing payments for the State, Universities and Colleges. Updating associated employee files.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or vocational education in accounting, finance, business administration or related field OR experience performing accounting functions including interpreting and analyzing financial data.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with working with courts and lawyers and ideally experience working with Oracle.
Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A working knowledge of rules and regulations associated with work of this kind. Proficient in word, excel and associated software programs.
