At Shermco Industries, we are leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, and training. As a growing ISO-certified company and a founding member of NETA, we have one of the largest field services divisions in the industry. We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Estimator to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

- Cost Analysis & Estimation: Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates within established timelines.

- Documentation Review: Read and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create competitive bids.

- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and equipment necessary for project completion.

- Sales Support: Collaborate with the outside sales team to support job walks, customer meetings, and RFP submissions to drive revenue generation.

- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals that align with project requirements and company standards.

- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and project managers to ensure bid accuracy and competitiveness.

- Cost Tracking: Monitor and analyze project costs to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.

- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and company service offerings by participating in educational opportunities.

- Ownership: Accept ownership for achieving department and organizational goals within a designated geographic area.

Qualifications

- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required; experience with Salesforce, Adobe, and Bluebeam software is preferred.

- Industry Knowledge: Ability to read and understand one-line diagrams is preferred.

- Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

- Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with an understanding of profitability and financial measurements.

- Analytical Skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.

- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
