Job Description:

SUMMARY


This position participates in the credit administration and loan quality functions of the Bank’s entire loan portfolio and the loan origination process.  Loan quality includes credit reviews before and after loan origination, and monitors credit quality of the loan portfolio to assure minimum losses.


 Participates in credit administration operations, including loan and lending practices, construction monitoring, appraisal management, credit standard maintenance, and special project management.  Provides technical advice, and review of mortgage, consumer, and commercial loan portfolios for quality, accuracy, regulatory compliance and credit worthiness. Provides leadership to the departments involved in credit decisions, supporting overall growth and development of Riverview Bank.


 The salary for this role will be between $93,000 and $137,000. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.  Hired candidate may be eligible for healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays.  Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards.


 


Lending Support:


-Provide advice, guidance, technical expertise, reports, and consultation to lending & senior officers.


-Participates in overseeing and improving internal and external Loan Examinations, Internal Asset Review, Loan Grading Process, and all lending support programs.


 


Loan Quality:


Credit Review & Loan Quality:


-Monitor credit quality of the loan portfolio to assure minimum losses through the lenders and loan officers.


-Review loan memorandums and approvals above lender limits for completeness and quality.


-Ascertain that loans made are reported and approved according to the bank lending policy, and within prescribed lending limits.


-Identify potential problem credits and work with loan officers and loan workout specialists to restructure the credit and/or minimize losses.


 


Credit Approvals:


-Assist in the review and processing of loans over prescribed limits as warranted.


 


Auditing:


-Assist Loan Administration in the loan examination function.


-Assist Loan Administration in Monitoring the accounts receivable auditing program and insure timely completion of audits.


 


Other:


-Assist Loan Administration evaluate loan portfolios, internal policy controls and overall loan management.


-Assist Loan Administration analyze industry trends, evaluate loan policies, and unique loan situations.


-Review and update new and existing loan files for Riverview Bank on a regular basis.


-Follow all state and federal laws and Riverview Bank policies and procedures.


 


RELATIONSHIPS


-Regular contact with Sr. Credit Administrator, Chief Credit Officer, and lending department to ensure credit standards are being maintained.


-Regular contact with representatives of businesses who provide necessary confirmation, documentation, etc., of various types of loan related information (i.e., title companies, insurance companies, construction companies and various government agencies).


 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of commercial lending experience with progressively greater knowledge in a consumer-lending environment. Understanding of loan documentation criteria and Riverview services, products, policies and procedures, as well as overall business objectives for the Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, and Loan Servicing Departments knowledge of collections, workout and loan review procedures and related areas.  Good managerial, communication and public relations skills.


 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email. The employee is required to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office. You may also frequently be required to occupy a workstation for long periods of time.
