Join our Manufacturing team -- production, assembly, operation of equipment, and more -- and help us deliver an unmatched selection of products made with quality materials and workmanship. Our Tool & Die department is responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and preparing a variety of die striking, transfer, and progressive tooling utilized in the manufacturing of jewelry and jewelry components made in Die Striking.
The position of Tool & Die Maker Trainee is responsible for assisting tool makers in the production of components utilized in the tool making process. This is the entry level position to become accepted into the Tool and Die Maker Apprentice program and is the key role that teaches associates the basics of machining practices used throughout the team to advance in the skillsets needed to become a Tool maker.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and master the skills needed to complete machining tasks utilized in tool making.
Learn how to effectively analyze quality and process issues
Assist in the completion of work orders
Learn and implement Print reading to effectively build components needed for tool production.
Inspect and maintain quality of work being completed
Train under all levels of tool makers on a wide variety of machining practices including lathe, mill, laser, heat treating, surface grinding, and tool assembly.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Commitment to following safety regulations and guidelines
Ability to follow written and verbal direction while maintaining quality standards
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on repetitive tasks
Ability to multitask and manage high-volume workloads efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
Certification/training in technical manufacturing
2+ years of experience in die striking or related roles utilizing equipment for manufacturing
Advanced knowledge of stamping and progressive tooling
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to utilize ergonomic equipment to help aid in repetitive tasks.
Protective equipment required in work environment
Eye Protection, ear protection, gloves utilized for Sharp/Hot processes, aprons, steel toe shoes.
