Job Summary


Activity will be through F&Gs IMO distribution channel, primarily independent sales channel of Financial Advisors & Independent Marketing Organizations.

This position while responsible for strengthening existing advisor relationships and developing newer advisor relationships will provide pro-active and high-end support to the National Sales VP, Annuity Distribution. This position will be expected to be a significant and highly personalized resource to many advisors in a geographic territory.

This position is expected to travel to existing relationships and foster new ones. In collaboration with the National Sales VP, National Accounts VPs, National Account Managers, & Senior Internal Wholesalers this position will develop and work toward a territory sales plan and will be expected to meet or exceed the plan.

This position is expected to master F&Gs's products and have a working knowledge of competitor's products in order to compare and contrast features and benefits. This position will also be expected to master F&Gs programs and resources to bring additional value to advisor relationships. This position produces meaningful and actionable sales reports using existing systems and resources.

This position reports directly to the National Sales VP, Annuity Distribution.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thorough and in-depth knowledge of company products, practices, programs, and resources, as well as competitive landscape.
  • Maintain successful business relationships with advisors through frequent communication and visitation.
  • Attend in person sales activities which includes, but is not limited to: advisor/producer meetings, training seminars, agent conferences, back office training meetings, and/or appointments. In person sales activities to be complimented by proactive targeted sales campaigns, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
  • Utilize company reporting and collaborate with sales team members to direct sales activity.
  • Communicate key information to stakeholders as necessary to drive further sales engagement.
  • Manage and prioritize competing activity requests across territory to drive annuity sales.
  • Document activity and provide activity reports to sales leadership as needed.
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenses. Complete accurate expense reports in a timely manner and identify areas for efficiencies. Expenses must be reasonable and within guidelines established by management.
  • Contribute to and participate in various team calls and meetings focused on sales concepts, marketing, best practices, and professional development.
  • Maintain F&Gs strong culture of accountability and collaboration.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, Business or Marketing preferred, or industry equivalent experience.
  • Industry recognized designation preferred such as CLU, ChFC or CFP.
  • 3+ years of wholesaling experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative home office environment.
  • Expert knowledgeand proficiency (or the ability to develop) in company applications including but not limited to Salesforce, illustration software, MS Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong time management, organization and follow up skills
  • Insurance industry and/or Securities knowledge
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization
  • Coachable mindset
  • Strong PC skills

Other Requirements

  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Approximately 50% travel is required
