Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring accurate records of payments and outstanding balances.
Contact Debtors: Reach out to clients via phone, email, or letters to collect payments, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes.
Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all communications and transactions in the company's database.
Assess Credit Risk: Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to minimize financial risk.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
Prepare Reports: Generate reports on collections status, aging accounts, and payment trends for management review.
Follow Legal Guidelines: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding debt collection practices.
Perform Skip Tracing: Utilize various tools to locate customers who have changed contact information without notifying the company.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience in collections, finance, or customer service is beneficial.
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment:
May involve working with challenging customer situations, requiring patience and professionalism.
