Ultimate Staffing is recruiting for a Collections Specialist in New Orleans, LA. This is an in-office role, looking to pay $45-$50K, schedule Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm. Apply today!



Responsibilities:



  • Manage Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring accurate records of payments and outstanding balances.


  • Contact Debtors: Reach out to clients via phone, email, or letters to collect payments, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes.


  • Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all communications and transactions in the company's database.


  • Assess Credit Risk: Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to minimize financial risk.


  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.


  • Prepare Reports: Generate reports on collections status, aging accounts, and payment trends for management review.


  • Follow Legal Guidelines: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding debt collection practices.


  • Perform Skip Tracing: Utilize various tools to locate customers who have changed contact information without notifying the company.

Qualifications:


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent


  • Experience: Previous experience in collections, finance, or customer service is beneficial.


  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office.

    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

    • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
