Job Purpose



The purpose of this role is to develop and provide technical support and training on the use and application of (powder coatings) company products, (troubleshooting) services, equipment, and documentation in acquiring new business and in maintaining customers primarily for the automotive OEM market and maintaining multiple non-automotive existing customers.
Cross-functional communication and global alignment is required to innovate and develop applications for the market.



Key Responsibilities





  • Provide total technical support to all customers internal and external with global alignment.

  • Analyzes product-related issues. Performs laboratory (application) analysis of the issues when needed. Communicate with RS Lab and/or the Quality Control department to establish corrective actions (and case management).

  • Manage complex customer complaints.

  • Actively participate in key phases of the sales process to prospects.

  • Proactively prevent and solve problems of a technical nature occurring at existing customers through online and in-person application engineering training and support.

  • Use reporting tools such as CRM, to update the key customers' databases with valid, accurate, and complete information (visits reports, action reports, cases, billing of services rendered, regulatory requests, etc)

  • Deliver weekly periodical progress reports, proactively submit information regarding trends within the market and provide recommendations regarding the improvements in the approach to the market.

  • Promote the positive company reputation and develop long-term relations with customers.

  • Hold and defend the values of the company.

  • Practice all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal behavior / HSE standards and acts in compliance with all their regulations.

Limited to customer specifications.



Job Requirements





  • Knowledge & Work Experience - Automotive and General Industrial Paints & Coatings industry, 3-5 years of work experience in technical services, application and support. Proficiency in the use of various communications technology and applications. Travel required to various accounts in assigned territory.

  • Bachelor Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry is preferred or 3-5 years experience in automotive top coat process equipment-electrostatic robots, end of the arm applicators and powder booths.

  • Skills - Problem-solving, root cause analysis, stakeholder management, creating value propositions, communication, and presentation, commercial and business acumen. It requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interface effectively by phone or virtual communication platform.




Total Compensation





  • The salary range for these skills is $65,000 to $75,000 + 15% annual bonus.
