IT Technician

Job Summary

As an IT Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our users seeking technical assistance. Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing solutions, and ensuring timely resolution of technical problems. You will collaborate with various departments to enhance user experience and contribute to a seamless technology environment.

Responsibilities


  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing prompt and effective technical support.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and operating systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and user interactions in our ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Provide training and support to users on software applications, tools, and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in system upgrades, installations, and other IT projects as required.

Requirements :


  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
