Description

As a Blood Collection Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides plasma and transfusable platelets to local hospitals and patients wherever needed in the community. Six months minimum of Plasma Collection experience is required for this role.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Greet blood donors and make them comfortable with the procedure, answering questions about the process as needed.

  • Perform apheresis collections of source plasma and transfusable platelets and plasma.

  • Performs all duties related to the collection, handling, and packing of blood products.

  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals

  • Maintain accurate records.

Requirements

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • CPR certification required.

  • Six months previous work experience with apheresis machine (Alyx/Haemonetics) required.

  • Previous source plasma experience preferred

  • Bilingual, proficient in both English and Spanish, with a familiarity of related medical terminology.
